As every year, you are invited to submit a fully developed version of your ESA 2018 conference paper to Estetika: The Central European Journal of Aesthetics. The submitted papers will go through a normal journal publication process (including triple blind peer review) and – if accepted – will be published in one of the following issues of the journal.
Recently published papers that had initially been delivered at an ESA conference include:
Damla Dönmez, Saving ‘Disinterestedness’ in Environmental Aesthetics: A Defence against Berleant (2/2016)
Annelies Monseré, Why We Need a Theory of Art (2/2016)
Alfred Archer, Lauren Ware: Aesthetic Supererogation (1/2017)
Ancuta Mortu: Degrees of Attention in Experiencing Art (1/2018)
Carlos Portales: Objective Beauty and Subjective Dissent in Leibniz’s Aesthetics (1/2018)
Benjamin Evans: From Bullfights to Bollywood: The Contemporary Relevance of Jean-Baptiste du Bos’s Approach to the Arts (2/2018)
Please note that submitting your paper to the ESA Proceedings does not prevent you from submitting it to Estetika, indeed, both the ESA and Estetika’s editorial team cordially invite you to do both. However, if you wish to submit your work to Estetika, note that the paper should have the form of a regular research article rather than a conference talk. Also, the paper should not be under review at another journal. The deadline for submissions is set to 1 November 2018.
The submissions should comply with the editorial policy of the journal accessible via http://aesthetics.ff.cuni.cz/guidelines/.
Estetika: The Central European Journal of Aesthetics is listed in
